SALEM, Ore., April 24—Salem's Senators stayed in the lead of the Western International League today by winning a second straight game over Yakima, scoring a 4-2 win behind lefty Cal McIrvin's pitching.
McIrvin, making his first start of the season, scattered seven hits and fanned an equal number of batters to blank Yakima until the eighth inning.
Yakima got its two runs on Larry Orteig's single with two men on. The Senators scored three times in the first inning on six straight bases on balls and added their final run in the sixth. Yakima ......... 000 000 020—2 7 1
